Russian Federation's imports of preparations of meat, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates (16 HS Code) in 2015



In 2015 the volume of imported preparations of meat, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates (16 HS Code) volume decreased by 49% and reached 352 million USD compared to 696 million USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 0.8% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 22.

Detailed information about products imported by Russian Federation in this category:


  • Sausages and similar products, of meat, offal or blood (16%)

  • Prepared or preserved herrings, whole or in pieces (10%)

  • Caviar substitutes prepared from fish eggs (10%)

  • Prepared or preserved meat and offal of swine (9%)

  • Prepared or preserved fish, whole or in pieces (8%)

  • Prepared or preserved fish (8%)

  • Prepared or preserved eels, whole or in pieces (6%)

  • Prepared or preserved meat or offal of bovine animals (5%)

  • Prepared or preserved tunas, skipjack and Atlantic bonito, whole or in pieces (4%)

  • Prepared or preserved sardines, sardinella and brisling or sprats, whole or in pieces (4%)



2015 showed a large rise in Russian imports of prepared or preserved salmon, whole or in pieces (+556%). At the same time the imports of prepared or preserved shoulders and cuts thereof, of swine (-71%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying preparations of meat, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates to the Russian Federation in 2015 were Belarus.

2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from Iceland (+37%). At the same time the imports from Denmark (-85%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

EXPORTS FROM RUSSIA


In 2015 volume of exported preparations of meat, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates (16 HS Code) decreased by 31% and reached 123 million USD compared to 177 million USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
