Russian Federation's imports of products of animal origin (05 HS Code) in 2015


In 2015 the volume of imported products of animal origin (05 HS Code) volume decreased by 21% and reached 58 million USD compared to 73 million USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 0.66% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 30.

Detailed information about products imported by Russian Federation in this category:



2015 showed a slight rise in Russian imports of ambergris, castoreum, civet and musk; cantharides (+7%). At the same time the imports of bones and horn-cores and their powder and waste, unworked, defatted, simply prepared (-26%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying products of animal origin to the Russian Federation in 2015 were: Brazil, Paraguay, Portugal, Denmark and United States of America.


2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from India (+1333%). At the same time the imports from Uruguay (-74%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

EXPORTS FROM RUSSIA


In 2015 volume of exported products of animal origin (05 HS Code) decreased by 6% and reached 68 million USD compared to 72 million USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
