Russian Federation's imports of rubber and articles thereof (40 HS Code) in 2015


In 2015 the volume of imported rubber and articles thereof (40 HS Code) volume decreased by 36% and reached 2.63 billion USD compared to 4.12 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 2.06% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 13.

Detailed information about products imported by Russian Federation in this category:



2015 showed a large rise in Russian imports of hygienic/pharmaceutical art of vulcanised rubber (+37%). At the same time the imports of new pneumatic tires, of rubber (-43%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying rubber and articles thereof to the Russian Federation in 2015 were: Japan, China, Germany, Republic of Korea, Belarus.


2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from Thailand (+8%). At the same time the imports from Republic of Korea (-55%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

In 2015 volume of exported rubber and articles thereof (40 HS Code) decreased by 20% and reached 2.42 billion USD compared to 3.02 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
