Argentinian Mozzarella Taps Into Russian Market

According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, for the first two months of 2019 Argentinas export of mozzarella to Russia has went up by 89% in terms of value and by 92.4% in terms of volume.

Russia has imported almost 624 tones of mozzarella for the total amount of $2.28 mln.

For this period Argentina has been the largest mozzarella supplier to Russia and accounted for 67.6% of country’s import of this good. Other mozzarella suppliers to Russian market have included Belarus (28%), Switzerland (4.3%) and Uruguay (0.2%).

In total, from January to February, 2019 Russia has imported 858 tones of mozzarella worth $3.37 mln.
