Finnish Fishing With Russian Rods

In 2018 Russia’s export of fishing rods and tackle increased by 53% compared to 2017 and amounted to $6.4 mln.

The largest importer of Russian rods and fishing tackle became Finland that accounted for 72% of all Russia’s export of this production ($4.6 mln). All supplies of Russian rods and tackle to Finland were provided by the Republic of Karelia. In 2018 Finland’s import of these goods from Russia went up by 70% compared to 2017.

Along with Finland, the major importers of Russian fishing rods and tackles were the following countries:

• Belarus ($1 mln);

• Kazakhstan ($280 thous.);

• Latvia ($142 thous.);

• Estonia ($122 thous.);

• Ukraine ($112 thous.);

• Lithuania ($105 thous.).
