Phanagoria, one of the largest wineries in the Black Sea’s Taman Peninsula (which is part of Krasnodar Territory) shipped the first consignment of its wines to its Japanese dealer Ikemitsu Enterprises which will distribute Kuban wines through retail and HoReCa.
Because of complicated logistics, the wines will reach the consumers only next September. In the meantime, Phanagoria will ship another consignment, adding white wines to red and expanding the list of its specialty red bubblies.
Phanagoria and Ikemitsu have a contract under which the Russian winery will supply 250,000 to 300,000 bottles of wine worth $1m.
