Dates of SPIEF-2019 Determined

The next St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on 6–8 June 2019.

“In many senses, SPIEF-2018 exceeded last year’s results – we saw a record number of attendees and signed agreements. There is clear potential for growth as the forum strengthens its position as the leading global business platform. I’m certain that this potential will be tapped into as preparations for SPIEF-2019 go underway, and that the next forum will provide its guests and participants with even more business opportunities in an atmosphere of complete trust,” said Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organising Committee Anton Kobyakov.

SPIEF-2018 was attended by more than 17 thousand people from 143 countries. It saw the signing of 593 agreements totaling 2,625 trillion rubles (only those agreements whose monetary sum was not a trade secret were counted). President of France Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Vice-President of the People’s Republic of China Wang Qishan, and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde were all in attendance at the Forum. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is held annually under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation.
