CJSC First Furniture Factory intends to embark on making new kitchens in October this year using the production capacities migrated to Saint Petersburg by Swiss Piatti, a furniture plant. The Supervisory Board of the Saint Petersburg Industry Development Fund is going to allocate for this purpose a target loan of RUB 100 million. The total amount to be invested to launch the production is €50 mln.

The last stage of work is currently ongoing with assembly lines being installed. Swiss Piatti's new production strings designed to manufacture kitchen furniture were migrated to the Saint Petersburg plant's site. The plant is owned by Alto, a German furniture manufacturer, being a party to a joint venture company incorporated jointly with the First Furniture Factory.

It has been forecast that the Swiss lines will be capable of manufacturing 50,000 kitchen furniture sets annually. Two First Furniture Factory and Bruno Piatti branded products lines each comprising 40 models will be manufactured.
