Okhta Mall, a shopping and recreation center owned by Finnish concern SRV, has been commissioned. This is one of the largest and modern shopping malls erected in Saint Petersburg for the last several years.

Apart from tenants being conventional for such malls, the shopping mall will feature cultural and education space called Okhta Lab. More than 1,000 sq.m. will be devoted to host a branch of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Central City Public Library, coworking space with Wi-fi access, an exhibition area, a coffee house and a multifunctional hall for 250 seats. The design concept for Okhta Lab was developed by KIDZ.

Okhta Mall was constructed based on energy-efficient technology solutions and is going to be certificated as compliant with international standard LEED. The design of the shopping mall was developed by L Architects, a Finnish architectural bureau. The Finnish investors (SRV and Russia Invest Foundation) spent EUR 250 million for implementing the project. Today, the mall is 90% occupied (with executed leases accounting for 60% and preliminary agreements totaling 30%).
