German investors ready to invest in potato processing in Chelyabinsk Region
A delegation from the Federal Land of Rheinland-Palatinate has arrived at the Region to discuss potential cooperation. The delegation comprises representatives of companies specializing in the designing of irrigation equipment, construction structures and metallurgical production technology. Foreign businessmen expressed interest in cooperation as they are ready to offer the technology which is of demand in the Chelyabinsk Region.
A project on constructing a potato processing facility was characterized by acting Minister of Agriculture Evgeny Vaganov as especially interesting one. There are no similar plants in the Chelyabinsk Region and if they appear than South Ural agrarians will be enabled not only to boost potato production but also to embark on growing sugar beet as local climatic conditions allow this. The Region is ready to lease out land plots to the German party to erect such facilities.
The German delegation also visited the Churilovo Compound to assess cooperation prospects in relation to vegetable production.
