AD*STAR technology coming to Russia
On 23 May 2016, LLC Kazan Modern Packing Plant/LLC KZSU (Russia) held an opening ceremony to launch its new facility designed to manufacture AD*STAR valve bags. President Minikhanov of the Republic of Tatarstan personally attended at the opening ceremony of the plant located on the site of Khimgrad technology zone in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
KZSU uses its new plant to make AD*STAR valve bags for packing cement, gypsum, chemicals, fertilizers, fodders and other dry bulk products. A full set of equipment required to make laminated polypropylene bags was delivered by Starlinger & Co. Ges.m.b.H., Austria, being a technology leader in the manufacturing of this type of equipment. The equipment package comprised an extrusion molding line, a weaving line, a laminating and printing line, 2 ad*starKON conversion lines and a recoSTAR universal waste processing line. The facility's capacity is 44 million AD*STAR bags p.a.; the bags will be supplied to Russian and foreign companies, including JSC L.Y.Karpov Chemical Plant, Asia Cement Ltd., Polyplast, Knauf Gypsum, Servolux (Belarus Republic) and LLC Samadov Cement Factory (Tajikistan).
Over the last years, Starlinger has erected 10 AD*STAR bag plants in other CIS countries with this one being Russia's first AD*STAR bags integrated plant.
