A launching ceremony has taken place at the Sovetsk factory to commission its new Zewa paper production strings. The launching of the new strings is a constituent component of the company's project with aggregate investments totaling EUR 145 million.

Currently, the factory operates two paper machines and makes two- and three-layered toilet paper, paper towels, handkerchiefs and face napkins branded as Zewa as well as Tork branded paper products designed for professional applications.

The expansion of the production facility by SCA provided 200 jobs for highly skilled specialists thus increasing the total headcount of the facility to 450.

Eric Yelem, the Second Secretary of the Economy and Trade Department, Sweden Embassy in Russia, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony where he emphasized: "Russia remains an important trade partner for us. Many prominent Sweden companies are major investors in Russia today. SCA is one of them. We can be proud of SCA also because the company is a member of Symbio City platform, a Sweden stable development concept, which is already present in Russia. The Sovetsk factory is the company's third facility operating in Russia. This means not only the offering of new job opportunities but also environmental care and careful use of natural resources, a portion of what we call Sweden valuables and global topical subject. We hope that our economic and trade relations will strengthen."
