Moscow Region's first plastic automotive components factory opens in Klin

Eurostyle Systems Klin has opened the Moscow Region's first facility capable of manufacturing automotive components made of plastic, as reported by a reporter of Podmoskovye Segonya.

"The launching of such a facility in Klin shows that foreign investors believe in Russia and attests to the fact that competition is increasingly growing in our countries focusing on the sectors that were lost, such as the manufacturing of automotive components. Businesses see prospects for tens of years ahead, that is why the Moscow Region's market is extremely interesting to them", Vadim Khromov, the First Deputy Minister of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow Region, said.

The facility will supply plastic facing for Renault and Nissan cars; as soon as it is opened, the facility will proceed to manufacturing engines for Renault's brand new model "Renault Kaptur" in lots.

To implement the project, the investor invested more than RUB 600 million in 2015 with another 250 million having being invested to purchase equipment since the start of 2016. It is expected that another 300 million will have been invested by the end of the year and investments will continue in future.

As of today, the facility employs approximately 70 persons. The company wants to offer up to 250 jobs in 2017.
