A delegation of the Voronezh Region has taken part in the 9th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic.

The meeting was held in Prague and was chaired by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Ian Mladec.

The meeting's agenda included the construction of a machine-building facility, and varnishing and assembling of agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles in the territory of the Bobrovsky Industrial Park, Voronezh Region.

The Russian party to the Russian and Czech joint project was represented by Director of the Economic Development Department Anatoly Bukreyev and Governor of the Bobrovsky Municipal District (Voronezh Region) Anatoly Balbekov, the Czech party's representatives included CEO of AGROSTROY Pelgrimov Lubomir Stoklasek and Commercial Director Yroslav Gaban.

We remind that the Voronezh Region's Government and Czech company AGROSTROY Pelgrimov agreed to construct the facility to assemble towed agricultural machinery as early as in May 2014. A trilateral cooperation agreement was executed in the same period between the Voronezh Region's Government, JSC AGROSTROY Pelgrimov and the Administration of the Bobrovsky Municipal District, Voronezh Region.

The facility construction project was recognized as a landmark one and included in the Region's 2012–2016 social and economic development programme. Investments are estimated at RUB 4.4 billion. The facility to be erected at an area of 42 hectares will manufacture agricultural machinery and components. The project implementation would offer about 350 new job opportunities.

The "foundation stone laying" ceremony is scheduled to occur in the first half of 2016.
