Yesterday, a meeting was held in the headquarters of OJSC Generating Company between its CEO Rauzil Khazyev, his deputies and the management of LLC FENICE RUS, whose delegation was headed by CEO Vincent De Rul.

Yesterday, a meeting was held in the headquarters of OJSC Generating Company between its CEO Rauzil Khazyev, his deputies and the management of LLC FENICE RUS, whose delegation was headed by CEO Vincent De Rul. A memorandum of cooperation was earlier signed between the two entities to implement greenfield and brownfield projects pertaining to the Zainsk Regional Power Station and establish conditions to attract investments.

FENICE RUS's CEO Vincent De Rul said the company has appropriate competencies to implement the project to upgrade the Zainsk Regional Power Station based on its huge experience in constructing and maintaining major facilities in Europe.

The Zainsk Regional Power Station ranks among the country's largest thermal condensing power plants. It comprises twelve 200MW units (one of the units has been decommissioned). Currently, the Zainsk Regional Power Station tends to reduce its power generation due to increasingly growing capacities of adjoining energy systems featuring significant competitive edges in terms of fuel utilization efficiency. "Nowadays, the construction of new units on the site of the Zainsk Regional Power Station is a preferable solution", Mr. Khazyev emphasized, "we have considered all technical options to upgrade the existing units for a long time, but realized that investments in the project would not be used so effectively."
