The opening ceremony of the facility built in the territory of Zavolzhye Industrial Park took place on the 24^th of February this year.

"The opening of the enterprise was a good start for the new investment year. In 2106, we plan to open 13 new plants and embark on the construction of another 15 facilities which will attract additional investments to the region and create new hi-tech job opportunities, Sergey Morozov, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, noted.

According to experts from the regional Ministry of Economic Development, investments in this project have totaled more than RUB 700 million. The facility currently employs 50 residents of Ulyanovsk and the headcount will increase to 100 persons after it reaches full operating capacity. The Ulyanovsk Region's facility will produce plastic packagings for numerous industrial sectors. After the facility is put into full steam operation, its output will exceed 4 ktpa.

"This plan is of vital importance for us. And we are confident of the facility's success and good operation in future. There were many reasons why we chose the Ulyanovsk Region to localize the production. Human factor was the first of them as we liked Governor Morozov's attitude to our project. And secondly, Central Russia is a very important region for us. This is why we decided to construct in your region", Herbert Kemmerich, a managing founder of Jokey Plastic Group, commented.

The investment agreement for project implementation was executed between the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region, OJSC Region Development Corporation and Jokey Plastic on 31 July 2012. Plant construction operations were started in August 2013 and the facility was completed and commissioned in 2015. Equipment start-up operations took several months. Jokey Plastic is one of residents of Zavolzhye Industrial Park. 24 investment projects with more than RUB 46 billion of investments are currently being implemented within the park's boundaries.

Jokey Plastic was founded in 1968. Today, the company is an international manufacturer of plastic packagings having plants in Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Belarus Republic, Turkey, Algeria, Egypt and Canada.
