Tongtai (Taiwan) intends to invest some RUB 1.6 billion to construct a facility to assemble machine-building units in the Voronezh Region, according to Alexander Borovlev, a Deputy General Director for Technical Enterprise Re-equipment of LLC Pride Engineering Management Company (Tongtai's official dealer).
Today, the Taiwanese company has executed a memorandum of understanding with Pride Engineering MC as the Taiwan investor plans to commence construction operations as early as this year already with the launch of the production being scheduled for 2019. The plant's capacity will be around 100–200 units p.a. The investor has reviewed four proposed sites for project implementation. According to the Regional Government, the company took interest in 4 to 10 hectare sites.
For the time being, the company supplies equipment for such major Voronezh-based companies as OJSC Elektrosignal (a member of Sozvezdiye Concern) and JSC Hydrogas. LLC Pride Engineering Management Company is the company's official dealer operating in Russia.
Tongtai has produced machine-tools since 1969. It owns seven plants in China, Taiwan, France and Austria.
