Auchan hypermarket chain to come to the Kuznetsk Basin

French hypermarket chain AUCHAN has come to the Kemerovo Region. The first store is expected to be opened in Novokuznetsk, a major city of the Kuznetsk Basin. The retail chain has chosen Planeta Trade and Leisure Center as a place for its store.

Auchan hypermarket chain to come to the Kuznetsk Basin

French hypermarket chain AUCHAN has come to the Kemerovo Region. The first store is expected to be opened in Novokuznetsk, a major city of the Kuznetsk Basin. The retail chain has chosen Planeta Trade and Leisure Center as a place for its store.

The total area of the 4 level Trade Center is 162,000 sq.m. which is equivalent to 20 football fields. Planeta Trade and Leisure Center attracts giant occupants as anchor tenants. 12,000 sq.m. on the ground floor in the Underwater Zone are occupied by LENTA Hypermarket. This is the area Auchan will occupy in a short time.

RosEuroDevelopment Group (being the investor of Planeta Trade and Leisure Center), Auchan Retail Russia and LENTA have reached a trilateral agreement. LENTA Hypermarket will have rolled back its operations by the end of the month with French Auchan replacing it in late April.

This is the first time Auchan enters the region. The company will provide new job opportunities for the city and offer tax payments to the local budget.
