The Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development of the Murmansk region and the Administration of the Lovozero district signed the Memorandum on the establishment and development of tourism and recreation cluster "Russian Lapland". Specialization "Russian Lapland" is an ethnographic and rural tourism, which has recently attracted more and more visitors and residents of the Arctic. Currently, work is underway to attract communities of indigenous peoples in the tourism industry of Murmansk, which will integrate the unique historical and cultural heritage and original traditions of the indigenous inhabitants of the Kola edge in new and existing tourism product: snowmobile safaris, riding a reindeer, study tours reindeer herders camp. Widely known held in Lovozero district event management: Sami National Day, the North and the traditional feast day of herders days Izhemsky Komi Culture "Izvatas moons" and many others. Particularly popular summer traditional Sami national games that are included in the event-calendar Kola region tourism.
