A Swedish animal production unit is going to appear in the Mtsensk District, Orel Region, in years ahead with the implementation conditions of this project having been discussed by Ivan Grachev, the Region's Governor, with representatives of Swedish ACROS.
The unit is supposed to be focused on the production of ecologically clean food products. The investor plans to primarily develop dairy and beef stock farming on regional Orel lands. The multifunctional unit will be focused not only on production but also processing. Part of forage fodder will be produced by the unit independently and for this purpose the investor plans to purchase a 5 to 15 thousand hectare plot.
The opening of the new farm enterprise in the Region must solve the underemployment issue, primarily, for women residing in the Region who specifically suffer from unemployment. Before coming to the Orel Region, the company has reportedly approved itself in other regions of the country. It already has points of business in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. ACROS also has enterprises operating in CIS countries as well as in the Baltic states and Poland.
