A Russian and Italian shoe cluster to appear in the Novosibirsk Region
A Russian and Italian leather processing and shoe making cluster expected to be created near Novosibirsk will include seven production strings. Mac Senior group will represent the Italian party to the project. It was earlier reported that the project was initiated by JC1 (Italy) internationalizing and supporting foreign economic operations of Italian small and mid-sized enterprises.
It is expected that upon reaching its design capacity, the cluster will occupy up to 25% of the regional shoe market and 15% of the federal shoe market. The creation of the cluster will require RUB 300 million of investments for engineering infrastructure only. A land plot with an approximate area of 40 Ha will be required to accommodate the project.
