Swiss medical companies are ready to enter Primorye market
Pierre Helg, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Russia, announced that Swiss medical companies plan to target the markets of the outlying regions of Russia, including Primorye, as reported by the region’s authorities.
A bilateral meeting between Pierre Helg and Sergey Nehaev, the Vice-Governor of Primorsky Krai, was held in Primorye. The Ambassador noted that Switzerland is interested in cooperation not only with central regions of Russia, but also with outlying regions, including Primosky Krai.
“Over the last 20 years, our country has invested $20 billion in Russia. About 600 Swiss companies have created 80 thousand working positions. Our task is to involve in cooperation small enterprises, the number of which in Switzerland is about 300 thousand. They are afraid to enter the Russian market, and it is very important for us to enquire for the investments supportive measures in Primorye. Large Swiss companies are also ready to invest in Primorye”, said the Ambassador. He also said that Swiss medical companies specialized in medical services are ready to consider the possibility of working in Primorye.
Sergey Nehaev noted that Primorye is dedicated to the attraction of investments in manufacturing of high-tech equipment and in medical services available in Europe. “The law on the free port of Vladivostok provides the standards for the attraction of foreign medical investments to open the offices in Primorye”, said Nehaev.
