In 2017, Abbott Company will complete the project on cancer drugs production in the village of Volginsky of Vladimir Region, told Irina Gushchina, the head of Abbott public relations office.
“The construction started in 2011. The total volume of company’s investments in organization of production between 2011 and 2016 will make up 7.4 billion rubles”, said I. Gushchina.
She added that the under-construction plant previously had been owned by Verofarm Company, and it passed into the ownership of Abbott in 2014, when Abbott took control of Verofarm. Abbott purchased OOO GardenHills, a holding company owned about 98% of Verofarm Company, for 16.7 billion rubles. The acquisition was financed by company’s own assets.
