Azerbaijan Benkons Group starts a construction of juice factory and logistics center in Tatarstan with the total cost of more than 4 billion rubles, reports Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.


The preliminary agreement on the project was made during the visit of Talia Minullina, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, to Azerbaijan in December 2014. In February 2015, the project was presented to the Head of Tatarstan, and an agreement was signed on cooperation between Benkons Group and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.


It is expected that the factory will specialize in production of natural juices of ecologically clean fruits. Its minimum capacity will be 53.8 million liters per year. The factory will create more than 250 jobs. The plan is to put the factory and the logistic center into operation in the beginning of 2017.


Benkons Group is one of the Azerbaijan’s leading companies. In particular, Benkons Import is a large importer of consumer goods and has partnership agreements with more than 30 countries. Benkons Export is a large exporter of Gilan Holding products (jams, pickles, compotes, conserves and other products) to Europe, Asia and America.
