“RusHydro” and Korea Water Resources Cooperation ”K-Water” are considering a construction of hydroelectric power station in the Republic of Dagestan and hydroelectric pumped storage power station in Primorsky Krai.

The construction of new power stations will be profitable because these regions of Russia experience a shortage of electricity. On the 5th of September “RusHydro” and “K-Water” are going to make an agreement for research on determination of Dagestan’s hydropower potential. The companies plan to sign the agreement at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivistok and then develop a financial plan of hydroelectric power station construction and to minimize the cost.

“RusHydro” and “K-Water” also plan to explore the possibility of the construction of Primorye hydropower complex in the Russian Far East and the exports of electrical power, generated by new objects, in China. According to the plan, Primorye hydropower complex will connect the ports of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk, and along the hydroelectric dam railway and motor road will be built.
