Russian Federation's imports of ships, boats and other floating structures (89 HS Code) in 2015


In 2015 the volume of imported ships, boats and other floating structures (89 HS Code) volume decreased by 27% and reached 1.24 billion USD compared to 1.69 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 1.52% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 19.

· Tugs and pusher craft (19%)

· Light vessel, dredger; floating dock; floating/submersible drill platform (14%)

· Yachts & other vessels for pleasure or sports (8%)

· Fishing vessels and factory ships (5%)

· Floating structure, nes (raft/tank/ coffer-dam / landing stage) (1%)


2015 showed a large rise in Russian imports of light vessel, dredger (+87%). At the same time the imports of vessels, including warships and lifeboats other than rowing boats (-100%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying ships, boats and other floating structures to the Russian Federation in 2015 were: Germany, China, Spain, Ukraine, Norway.



2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from Spain (+12037%). At the same time the imports from Finland (-93%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

In 2015 volume of exported ships, boats and other floating structures (89 HS Code) decreased by 35% and reached 0.54 billion USD compared to 0.82 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
