Russian Federation's imports of copper and articles thereof (74 HS Code) in 2015


In 2015 the volume of imported copper and articles thereof (74 HS Code) volume decreased by 55% and reached 0.43 billion USD compared to 0.97 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 1).


Russian Federation's imports represent 0.62% of world imports for this product. Its ranking in world imports is 30.

2015 showed a large rise in Russian imports of copper waste and scrap (+23%). At the same time the imports of copper mattes; cement copper (precipitated copper) (-68%) showed a significant fall (see Table 1, Figure 2).

The main exporters supplying copper and articles thereof to the Russian Federation in 2015 were: China, Finland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Italy.


2015 showed a significant rise in Russian imports from Kyrgyzstan (+104%). At the same time the imports from Czech Republic (-51%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2, Figure 3).

EXPORTS FROM RUSSIA


In 2015 volume of exported copper and articles thereof (74 HS Code) decreased by 15% and reached 4.17 billion USD compared to 4.91 billion USD in 2014 (see Figure 4).
