Egyptian-Russian Bilateral Trade in 2015


In 2015 Egyptian-Russian bilateral trade volume decreased by 14% and reached 4.0 billion USD compared to 4.65 billion USD in 2014.


Egyptian exports to Russia fell to 0.4 billion USD (by 27%) while imports fell to 3.6 billion USD (by 12%) (see Figure 1).

Egyptian exports to Russia


Egypt primarily exports to Russia the following products (see Figure 2, Table 1):




In 2015 the imports of Egyptian made products in Russia experienced a significant fall. The imports of soaps, lubricants, waxes, candles, modelling pastes fell by 58%; the imports of carpets and other textile floor coverings- by 60%.

Russian exports to Egypt


In 2015 Russia has exported to Egypt the following products (see Figure 3, Table 2):




2015 showed a significant rise in Russian exports to Egypt of electrical, electronic equipment (+282%). At the same time the exports of mineral fuels, oils, distillation products (-74%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2).
