Zimbabwean-Russian Bilateral Trade in 2015


In 2015 Zimbabwean-Russian bilateral trade volume decreased by 36% and reached 24.9 million USD compared to 38.7 million USD in 2014.


Zimbabwean exports to Russia rose to 0.1 million USD (by 6%) while imports fell to 24.8 million USD (by 36%) (see Figure 1).

Zimbabwean exports to Russia


Zimbabwe primarily exports to Russia the following products (see Figure 2, Table 1):


▪ Works of art, collectors pieces and antiques (96%)

▪ Other made textile articles, sets, worn clothing etc (4%)


In 2015 the imports of Zimbabwean made products in Russia experienced a significant rise . The imports of works of art, collectors pieces and antiques rise by 16%.

Russian exports to Zimbabwe


In 2015 Russia has exported to Zimbabwethe following products (see Figure 3, Table 2):


▪ Cereals (53%)

▪ Fertilizers (38%)

▪ Printed books, newspapers, pictures etc (7%)


2015 showed a significant rise in Russian exports to Zimbabwe of vehicles other than railway, tramway (+1313%). At the same time the exports of fertilizers (-48%) showed a significant fall (see Table 2).
