Georgian wine exports to Russia drops by third

Wine export from Georgia to Russia decreased by 27% in July 2019 compared to the corresponding period in 2018, according to the press service of the Georgian National Wine Agency.

According to the National Wine Agency, about 4.52 million bottles of wine (0.75 liter) were exported from Georgia to Russia in May 2019. The figure declined to 4.20 million bottles in June. In July, the exports fell to 3.55 million bottles.

Earlier, the Georgian National Wine Agency said that Georgia exported about 47.2 million bottles of wine in January-July of 2019, which is a 4% increase compared to the same period of 2018, with Russia importing 29,132,711 bottles.
