In the first quarter of 2019 Russia’s export to Egypt had a 16% increase compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $1.7 bn.
For this period the major export supplies included wheat and meslin (-36%), semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel (-38%), petroleum oils and oils from bituminous minerals (not crude) (-62%), wood sawn or chipped lengthwise (+15%), radar apparatus, radio navigational aid apparatus and radio remote control apparatus (+12%), plywood (+58%), copper wire (a 10-fold increase), sunflower oil (-36%). These goods accounted for 42% of all Russia’s export supplies to Egypt.
