According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, from January to February, 2019 Ukraine imported from Russia 435.8 tons of fireclays for the total amount of $43.5 thous.
Thus Ukraine had a 37-fold increase in terms of fireclay import volume and a 45-fold increase in terms of import value.
Russian fireclay exported to Ukraine was supplied by Voronezh Region (72%), Rostov Region (24%), Lipetsk Region and Kurgan Region (2% each).
Ukraine accounted for the main share of Russia’s fireclay export.Besides, Russia exported this good to Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Latvia and Sweden.
From January to April, 2019 Orel region’s export to Germany increased by 7% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $5.9 mln.
From January to April, 2019 Pskov region’s export to Spain went up by 1.64 mln. compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $1.65 mln.
In 2018 Russia became the world’s largest exporter of fuel elements (cartridges). Its export volume amounted to $981 mln or 44% of world’s fuel element export.
