From January to February, 2019 Uruguay exported to Russia 2.15 thous. tones of powdered milk and cream for the total amount of $6.23 mln. It is a 3.4-fold increase of export volume and a 9.8-fold increase of export value compared to the same period of 2018.
Uruguay accounted for 25.5% of all Russia’s powdered milk and cream import value for this period. The leading supplier of these goods to Russia became Belarus (41.1%). In total, Russia imported this production from 6 countries, including New Zealand (17%), Argentina (9.7%), Turkey (3.5%) and Paraguay (3%).
