According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, for the first two months of 2019 Russia has increased the import of fresh oranges by 5.2% in terms of value and by 9.5% in terms of volume compared to the same period of 2018.
Russia’s import of this product has amounted to 117.63 thous. tones worth $66.67 mln.
The largest supplier of fresh oranges to Russia has been Egypt that has provided 82% of all Russiaís import of this good. Egyptís export has risen by 22.9% in terms of value and by 30.7% in terms of volume.
The second largest supplier has become Turkey that has accounted for 11.5% of Russiaís fresh orange import. Turkeyís supplies have gone down by 50% both in terms of value and in terms of volume.
Besides, Russia has imported oranges from Morocco (2.3%), Syria (1.6%), China (1.4%), Iran (0.9%) and other countries.†
