Russia-Jordanian Trade Turnover Went Up

In 2018 Russia-Jordanian trade turnover had a 3.8-fold increase and amounted to $602.6 mln. In the bilateral trade structure Russia’s export prevailed with a 97.6% share.

Russia exported to Jordan goods for the total amount of $508.3 mln (a 4.4-fold increase). The main share of Russia’s export was provided by the secret code goods (44.6%), which were followed by barley (19.3%), transmission apparatus for radio-broadcasting or television (4.5%), flat-rolled iron or non-alloy steel (4.4%), wheat and meslin (3.7%), copper wire (2.6%), semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel (2.3%), turbojet or turbo-prop engines (1.8%), transmission shafts (1.8%) and other goods.

Russia’s import from Jordan stood at $14.3 mln (-38%). Jordan exported mainly pharmaceuticals (47.6%), suits, jackets, trousers and overalls (7.5%), T-shirts and singlets (8.1%), chlorides, chloride oxides and chloride hydroxides, bromides and bromide oxides, iodides and iodide oxides (6.1%), printing, writing or drawing ink (5.2%), jerseys and pullovers (5.1%), vegetables (3.3%), sodium hydroxide (2.2%), fresh tomato (1.9%), sugar confectionary (1.3%) and other goods.
