In 2018 Russia-Thailand trade turnover went up by 17% compared to 2017 and amounted to $2.6 bn. In the bilateral trade structure Russia’s export was two and a half times more than its import.
Russia’s export to Thailand reached $753.5 mln, it is a 47% increase compared to the previous year. The major export goods included petroleum and oil products (22.9%), secret code goods (14.2%), mineral fertilizers containing three nutrients (7.3%), aluminum alloys (5.2%), wheat and meslin (4.8%), and bituminous coal (4.2%).
Russia’s import from Thailand rose by 8% and stood at $1.86 bn. Thailand exported to Russian market memory devices (12.6%), motor trucks (6.1%), vehicles with cylinder capacity over 1500 cc but not over 3000 cc (2.8%), silver jewelry (2.8%), parts and accessories of vehicle bodies (2.4%), canned pineapples (2.4%), parts of air conditioning machines (2.3%), autotyres (2.3%) and other goods.
