Belorussian Yogurt Rises In Price

In 2018 Russia’s yogurt import was 21% more than its export.

Import volume stood at 17.84 thous. tones worth $25.76 mln, while export volume amounted to 16.04 thous. tones worth $21.27 mln.

The largest supplier of yogurt to Russia became Belarus that provided 88% of all Russia’s yogurt import. Belarus exported to Russian market 14.6 thous. tones of this good worth $22.67 mln and thus increased its supplies by 41.5% in terms of value and by 25% in terms of volume.

In its turn Russia exported yogurt to Belarus as well. In 2018 Russia exported to this country 7.13 thous tones of yogurt for the total amount of $9.06 mln and thus reduced its supplies both in terms of volume (-11%) and in terms of value (-8.8%).
