For 11 months of 2018 Russia’s trade turnover of hosiery (tights, stay-ups, knee highs, socks, footlets etc.) increased by 9.4% compared to the same period of 2017 and reached $446.3 mln.
In the turnover structure import was 22.3 times as much as export. Russia’s hosiery import amounted to $427.17 mln (+8.7%), while its export stood at $191.55 mln (+27.4%).
Russia imported hosiery from 80 countries, including Serbia (27.3%), China (24.8%), Belarus (17.5%), Italy (8%), Germany (3.8%), Turkey (2.7%), Ukraine (2.6%), Croatia (2.4%), Uzbekistan (2.3%) and Pakistan (1.4%).
Russian hosiery was exported to more than 50 countries. Among the major importers of Russian hosiery there were Kazakhstan (41%), Belarus (15.7%), Ukraine (14.6%), Hong Kong (11.6%), Latvia (2.4%), Spain (2.2%), Croatia (1.9%) and Lithuania (1.1%).
