For 11 months of 2018 Penza Region increased its export of chocolate and other food preparations containing cocoa by 64% in terms of volume and by 46% in terms of value.
Penza Region exported more than 11 thous. tn of this production for the total amount of $17.6 mln.
Kazakhstan became the largest importer of Penza chocolate confectionery. This country accounted for 37.8% of region’s chocolate export.
Belarus was the second larger importer (14.2%), Ukraine ranked 3rd (10.4%). Among the major buyers of Penza chocolate confectionery there were also China (8.7%), Azerbaijan (7.5%), Ìîíãîëèÿ (4.4%), Kyrgyzstan (4.3%), Tajikistan (2.6%), Armenia (2.4%), Uzbekistan (1.6%), and Turkmenistan (1.4%).
