From January to November, 2018 Russia-Afghanistan trade turnover reduced by 44% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to $109.7 mln. Such a decline was caused by cutting Russian supplies to Afghanistan (-45.2%), while Russia’s import from this country increased by 39.8%.
As for the trade turnover structure, Russia’s export to Afghanistan was 30 times as much as its import. Russia’s export volume stood at $106.24 mln, while its import from Afghanistan was only $3.48 mln.
Among the main goods exported by Russia to Afghanistan there were wood products (30.1%), oil and oil products (26.7%), sunflower oil (24.2%), and petroleum gases (3.2%).
