Egypt increased export of oranges to Russia. According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, for 11 months of 2018 Egypt exported to Russia 217.216 thous. tn of oranges for the total amount of $131.35 mln. and thus increased both export volume (+8%) and export value (+28%) compared to the same period of 2017.
Egypt provided 50% of all oranges imported by Russia.
The South Africa became the second largest orange supplier to Russia (29.5%, 83.177 thous. tn). Among the other orange suppliers there were Turkey (13.2%), Morocco (4.2%), Argentina (0.8%), Syria (0.6%), China (0.5%) and other countries.
