For the first 11 months of 2018 Russia’s sturgeon caviar import value exceeded its export by 114%.
Russia imported 19.153 tn of caviar worth $4.25 mln, but exported only 6.934 tn of this product for the total amount of $1.99 mln.
Caviar was imported from China, Italy, Armenia, Belarus, Uruguay, France and Iran. The largest caviar supplies in terms of volume were originated from China (77%) and Italy (13%). The most expensive sturgeon caviar was exported to Russia by France and Iran.
