Who Imports Russian Timber Sleepers

Russias export of timber sleepers for railway or tramway exceeded its import by 144%.

For the first 11 months of 2018 Russia’s export of this production reached $7.6 mln (+6%), while its import amounted to $3.1 mln.

Russian Timber Sleepers were exported to 15 countries, including Kazakhstan (51.6%), Ukraine (19.7%), Uzbekistan (12.9%), Azerbaijan (5.4%), Turkmenistan (3.9%), Tajikistan (1.8%), and Belarus (1.6%). Among the far-abroad importers of this production there were such countries as the Islamic Republic of Iran (0.9%), Latvia (0.6%), the Czech Republic (0.4%), Lithuania (0.1%), Turkey (0.1%) and Mongolia (0.05%).
