From January to November, 2018 Costa-Rica exported to Russia 32.674 thous. tn of pineapples worth $35.9 mln and thus increased its pineapple export both in terms of value (+36%) and in terms of volume (+34%) compared to the same period of 2017.
Fresh pineapples from Costa-Rica accounted for 91.7% of all Russia’s import of this production. Besides, Russia imported pineapples from China (4.5%), the Philippines (1.1%), Thailand (0.7%), Columbia (0.5%), Mauritius (0.5%), Cameroon (0.3%), Ecuador (0.3%), Vietnam (0.1%), Panama (0.1%), the Dominican Republic (0.1%) and others.
