From January to July, 2018 Kursk Region has exported 122.5 thous. tn of corn worth $18.9 mln and thus had a 3-fold increase of its export value and a 6.5-fold increase of its export volume compared to the same period of 2017.
The main importer of Kursk corn has become Latvia (86%). This country has imported 105.3 thous. tn of Kursk corn worth $16.2 mln and thus trippled its import both in terms of value and in terms of volume compared to the first seven months of the previous year.
Kursk corn has been also supplied to Lithuania and Egypt (5% each), Norway (3%), Belarus (0.6%) and Estonia (0.4%).
