According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, in 2016 and 2017 there was no hazelnut export from Zabaikal Region.
But for the first seven months of 2018 the region has exported 5 tn of hazelnut for the total amount of $77.27 thous. All this volume has been supplied to Belarus.
Zabaikal Region has accounted for 16% of all Russia's hazelnut export and become the second largest exporter of this production after Vladimir Region (63%). In total hazelnut has been exported by twelve Russian regions, including Moscow, Rostov Region, the Republic of Buryatia, Krasnodar Territory, Smolensk and Arkhangelsk Regions, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Dagestan, Moscow and Volgograd Regions.
