“At the moment Russian business has a great opportunity to enter Vietnam’s market, – Evgenia Shchipkova said. – First of all, custom duties are reduced significantly within the EAEU-Vietnam free trade zone. Thanks to this measure in 2017 Russia’s export to Vietnam increased by 38%, moreover for the first eight months of 2018 there is a 47% export increase compared to the same period of the previous year. Secondly, Vietnam has a strong demand on a wide range of goods, from industrial equipment, construction machinery and IT technologies to pharmaceuticals, food products and chemicals. Finally, Vietnamese consumers consider Russian goods as a high-quality and still affordable alternative to many domestic and import goods”.
Next year RASMEX is planning to continue the work on facilitating the cooperation between Russian and Vietnamese companies and organize a new business mission to this prospective market.
