Perm Region is the largest exporter of potassium chloride among Russian regions. It accounts for 99.9% of all Russia’s potassium chloride export. In 2017 Russia became the second largest exporter of potassium chloride in the world (Canada was the largest one).
According to the Federal Custom Service of Russia, for the first seven months of 2018 Perm Region has exported 4.6 mln tn of potassium chloride worth $995.6 mln and thus reduced its export value by 9% and export volume by 22% compared to the same period of 2017.
From January to July, 2018 Perm Region has exported potassium chloride to 46 countries including Brazil (30%), China (14%), India (13%), the USA (9%), Indonesia (8%), Malaysia (4%), Finland and Mexico (3% each), Poland and Vietnam (2% each) and other countries.
