For the first six months of 2018 Uzbekistan has exported to Russia 14.5 thous. tn of tomatoes, it is 3 times as much as compared to the same period of 2017.
Uzbekistan has accounted for about 3.5% of all Russia’s tomato import, while in the previous year this figure was only 1.3%.
Alongside Uzbekistan, such countries as Iran, Azerbaijan, China, Morocco, Armenia, Turkey and Belarus have also increased fresh tomato supplies to Russia. Turkmenistan has increased supplies of glass-raised tomatoes.
For the first half of 2018 Russia has imported about 410 thous. tn of tomatoes, it is a 17% increase compared to the first half of 2017.
