LNG Exports To Grow Almost 30% In 2018

According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia increased liquid natural gas (LNG) exports by 70% year-on-year in the first half of 2018.

The Russian Economic Development Ministry forecasts the country to boost liquid natural gas (LNG) exports in 2018 by 29.6% up to 14.9 million tonnes.

In 2017, Russia exported 11.5 million tonnes of LNG.

According to the ministry's draft forecast, Russia is expected to export 21 million tonnes of LNG in 2019 before boosting this to 26.1 million tonnes in 2020 and 2021 and to 27.6 in 2022-2024.
